The term Communications as a Service (CaaS) is used to describe a multi-tenanted solution where the platform and applications are shared between any number of customers in a manner which ensures a secure environment for each customer or ‘tenant’. The term Hosted solution is used for both multi-tenanted systems and for solutions where the platform is owned and operated by a third party but hardware is dedicated to one specific customer.
